Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign up using OAuth (Google, Apple, Facebook), we collect basic profile information from those providers including your name, email, and profile picture.
Family and Activity Data
We collect information about your family circles, shared tasks, chores, meal plans, shopping lists, and other activities you create within the app. This includes text, images, and other content you share with your family members.
Location Data
With your explicit consent, we collect location data to enable family map features. You can enable or disable location sharing at any time from your profile settings.
Usage Information
We collect information about how you use Flokken, including features accessed, time spent, and interactions. This helps us improve the app and provide better features.
How We Use Your Information
Provide Services
We use your information to operate Flokken, including creating your account, enabling family collaboration, and delivering features like real-time syncing, notifications, and location sharing.

We analyze usage patterns to improve our services, fix bugs, and develop new features. We may personalize your experience based on your preferences and usage.
Communication
We use your email to send important updates about your account, service changes, and family activity notifications. You can manage notification preferences in your settings.

Information Sharing
Within Your Family
Information you add to family circles is shared with other family members you invite. Each family member can see shared tasks, chores, meal plans, shopping lists, and location (if enabled).
Service Providers
We work with trusted service providers including Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and Mapbox (maps). These providers only access data necessary to perform their services.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Flokken, our users, or others.
Business Transfers
If Flokken is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Data Security
Encryption
All data transmission is encrypted using industry-standard TLS/SSL protocols. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Data at rest is encrypted in our Supabase database.
Access Controls
We implement role-based access controls (RBAC) to ensure family data is only accessible to authorized family members. Row-level security policies protect your data.
Monitoring
We continuously monitor our systems for security vulnerabilities and unauthorized access attempts. We use Sentry for error tracking and security incident detection.
Your Rights and Choices
Access and Update
You can access and update your account information anytime from your profile settings. You can also view all family data you have created or have access to.
Delete Your Account
You can delete your account at any time. This will remove all your personal data from our systems. Family data you created may remain for other family members unless they also delete it.
Location Control
You have full control over location sharing. Enable or disable it anytime from your profile settings. When disabled, your location is not collected or shared.
Notification Preferences
Manage which notifications you receive (push, email, SMS) through your profile settings. You can customize notifications per activity type.
Data Export
Contact us to request a copy of your data in a portable format. We will provide this within 30 days of your request.
International Data Transfers
Data Storage
Your data is stored on Supabase servers located in the EU (eu-west-1 region). We comply with EU data protection standards including GDPR.
Cross-Border Transfers
If you access Flokken from outside the EU, your data may be transferred to and processed in the EU. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
Children's Privacy
Flokken is designed for family use, including children under parental supervision. Parents and guardians are responsible for their children's use of the Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.
If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13 without proper consent, please contact us immediately at privacy@flokken.app and we will delete such information.
