Please read these terms carefully before using Flokken.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Flokken's mobile applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Flokken.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Flokken, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service, whether through our mobile application or web platform.
Description of Service
Flokken is a family organization platform that enables users to create family circles, share tasks, manage chores, plan meals, coordinate shopping, track budgets, and communicate with family members.
The Service includes mobile applications (iOS and Android) and web applications that synchronize data across devices in real-time.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with or without notice.
User Accounts and Responsibilities
Account Creation
You must create an account to use Flokken. You may register using email/password or through OAuth providers (Google, Apple, Facebook). You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
User Conduct
You agree to use Flokken only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You will not: (a) use the Service to harm, threaten, or harass others; (b) violate any laws or regulations; (c) infringe intellectual property rights; (d) transmit viruses or malicious code; (e) attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
Family Management
When creating a family circle, you are responsible for managing family members appropriately. You must obtain consent before inviting others and should only invite family members or close contacts you trust.
Subscriptions and Payments
Free and Premium Plans
Flokken offers both free and premium subscription plans. Premium features include unlimited families, advanced budgeting, SMS notifications, and priority support.
Billing
Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the subscription fee and any applicable taxes.
Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime from your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new premium subscriptions. Refund requests after 14 days will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@flokken.app for refund requests.
Price Changes
We may change subscription prices with 30 days advance notice. Existing subscribers will retain their current price until renewal after the notice period.
User Content and Data
Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you create in Flokken (tasks, chores, recipes, photos, messages, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to operate the Service.
Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your content and the consequences of sharing it. Ensure you have necessary rights to any content you upload. Do not share copyrighted material without permission.
Family Data Sharing
When you add content to a family circle, it becomes visible to all family members. Family admins can manage membership and content. Be mindful of what you share.
Data Backup
While we implement regular backups, you should maintain your own backup copies of important data. We are not liable for data loss.
Content Removal
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms, applicable laws, or is reported as inappropriate. We may also terminate accounts that repeatedly violate our policies.
Prohibited Activities
You may not: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service; (b) use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service; (c) interfere with or disrupt the Service; (d) collect user information without consent; (e) impersonate others; (f) use the Service for commercial purposes without authorization; (g) share your account with others; (h) create multiple accounts to bypass restrictions.
Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Flokken and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used without prior written consent. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use Flokken's trademarks, logos, or service marks.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. FLOKKEN DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
FLOKKEN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Flokken and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another.
Termination
You may terminate your account at any time from your profile settings. We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms that should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with Norwegian arbitration rules, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if they qualify.
Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Miscellaneous
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Flokken regarding the Service. If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision shall not be deemed a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent.
